Wow, what an amazing event for those attending the 5th HWW Annual State Capitol Garden Party, on June 22nd. Despite the last minute change in location due to weather, women were still upbeat and active! Women were welcomed to the Garden Party by the drumbeat of the Mu Daiko Drummers. Enthusiasm grew as women networked, connected and learned about the many organizations at the Vendor and Sponsor tables full of great take always.
Alix Kendall, Master of Ceremonies and TV anchor for the FOX-9 morning news kicked off the program: “Thriving Together: Reaching Across Generations and Cultures.” Sandy Harris, singer for the Grammy Winning group Sounds of Blackness, started the morning off with a beautiful song.
